Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce was spotted during the team’s final practice session on Wednesday, gearing up for Thursday night’s highly anticipated game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Meanwhile, Kelce’s girlfriend, global superstar Taylor Swift, has already arrived in Kansas City to cheer him on at Arrowhead Stadium.
As per team tradition, Chiefs players are required to remain with the team in the lead-up to game day, unable to head home until the final whistle.
Kelce and his teammates will engage in their final preparations and practice to ensure they’re fully ready for the challenge ahead.
Earlier in the day, Kelce opened up about how he manages to stay focused amid the whirlwind of his personal life, including his high-profile romance with Swift, a hit podcast with his brother Jason, and various commercial deals and Hollywood roles. Despite his numerous off-field commitments, Kelce made it clear that his eyes are still firmly set on the ultimate goal—the Lombardi Trophy.
“I love coming here, man,” Kelce shared during Tuesday’s Chiefs press conference when asked how he balances football with his personal life and other projects. “St. Joe, the Chiefs’ preseason training camp, is my sanctuary. I just love football. It takes me away from life and gives me something that I can be really happy about.”
Kelce emphasized how important football remains to him, despite his growing fame off the field. “I love coming into the building and working on my craft, understanding a new game plan, and perfecting it with the guys around me. It gives me a purpose to go about my day and live my life,” he added.
The 34-year-old NFL star has had a particularly busy and successful year, off the field as well. Kelce, alongside his brother Jason, recently signed a $100 million deal with Amazon’s Wondery for the rights to their popular New Heights podcast, which airs weekly throughout the NFL season. The podcast has skyrocketed in popularity since it launched in 2022, culminating in the brothers facing off in last season’s Super Bowl, where Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs beat Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles.
In addition to his podcast, Kelce has ventured into television, signing on to host a new game show titled Are You Smarter Than Celebrities, a spin-off of the popular Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?. Filmed during the offseason in Los Angeles, the show is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on October 16, giving fans another glimpse of Kelce’s charm and charisma outside of football.
However, amid his Hollywood ventures, podcasts, and high-profile relationship with Swift, Kelce insists that football remains his number one priority. As the Chiefs prepare to face the Ravens, fans are eager to see if Kelce’s laser-focused mindset will translate into another standout performance on the field.
With Swift expected to be in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium and the Chiefs determined to start their season strong, all eyes will be on Kelce to see if he can maintain his momentum both on and off the field.
Stay tuned to see how Kelce’s off-field successes and personal life mesh with his on-field prowess as the Chiefs take on the Ravens in tomorrow night’s highly anticipated game.
